The problem is the point of no return system sucks in PD2. If all players (that aren't in custody) don't make it to the escape, the entire heist fails, which is bollocks. In PDTH you only needed one player in the escape for the heist to be successful. The point of no return system would seriously need changes before implementing it into heists.
So it's not the end of the world if you want to go into the ending with different EMS points. Lol, jk redo. Endings don't matter even more because in the space of a few hours you can have all three! Another point of no return is Priority: Tuchanka.

Basically the "point of no return" just means that once you start that particular quest you have to complete it before you can run off and do other things, whether it being other quests or exploring/hunting. You can burn through the game and complete the main story and still follow up to complete the platinum trophy.
